Grassy Mountain Petrified Wood - Polished Round Limb Knot

Description

Not really sure how to describe this section of petrified tree.  Judge for yourself as you inspect the pictures.  I don't have the history on this piece as it was obtained in a collection as prepped.  It appears as though it was part of a limb where it branched from the tree.  It has definite full round growth structure.
Natural curved shape lends itself well to be fully contour polished which would make a spectacular piece.  Species appears to be elm but this has not been verified.
Gem grade transparent agate with beautiful colors and faint growth structure that this area is famous for.
Polished face is approx.: 4.5 x 3.5"   (11.5 x 9 cm)
Overall thickness = 3.5" (9 cm)
