BMW M42 engine Titanium valve spring retainer kit
for 6mm valve with M42 double valve spring set or M42 single spring
(16pcs)
If you're building a serious M42 spec engine, here's a lightweight option to replace the original steel valve retainers. Don't bother with aluminum retainers which are relatively soft and will wear out quickly. Titanium is 45% lighter but as strong as steel, but only slightly more heavy than aluminum.
These will reduce the mass on the valvetrain and prevent valve float, recommended on high revving engines.
