Description

American Classical sterling silver 6-piece coffee and tea set on tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1915. This set comprises hot water kettle on stand, coffeepot, teapot, creamer, sugar, and waste bowl. Each: Curved and tapering body on raised foot. Handles scroll bracket except kettle handle, which is swing. Kettle, coffeepot, and teapot handles stained wood. Covered domed with vasiform finial. Spouts s-scroll except creamer spout, which is u-form. Tray has oval well with pointed ends and swooping asymmetrical and reeded rim.
All pieces fully marked including maker's stamp and director's letter m. Kettle on stand, coffeepot, and teapot have pattern no. 17646H (first produced in 1910). Creamer, waste bowl, and sugar have pattern no. 17646 (first produced in 1910). Tray has pattern no. 18152 (first produced in 1911).
