    Soviet Navy Commissioning Pennant (of Warship Underway), circa 1980s.
    GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL made in USSR exclusively for use by the Soviet Navy!
    Wool bunting fabric, 5' long, 4 ½ " wide at base.  No markings on hoist sleeve. Standard requisite of every Soviet naval vessel, the pennant was hoisted when the ship was commissioned. The pennant was then flown both in port and at sea whenever the vessel was "on a campaign" i.e. involved in a training exercise or combat voyage.
    The pennant is in GREAT condition. There are few tiny moth tracks on the red field of the flag near its far end, location of which is shown by the quarter, but no real moth holes, and the mothing is barely noticeable even at very close inspection. The pennant is now completely moth-free. There is no soiling or wear; the colors are bright. Great, easy to display piece!
