Primitive Antique Chinese Shanxi Wooden Utility Lunch Box with Lid

Description

Antique Primitive Chinese wooden box with lid. Most likely Shanxi province, China. Handle is carved as well as the design motif at the sides. Nails seem to be wrought iron as well as the corner edge brackets (not an expert to be 100% sure). Lid and box shows dovetail joints. Original paint is red and black.
Measures 14" x 8" x 8" Height of box itself (15 1/2" High to the top of the handle)
Condition: As clearly shown, it is well used with wood chipped in several places, paint peeling, dirty etc. Please inspect all pictures carefully before buying.
