Petrified Wood

Description

Petrified wood from the Appalachian Mountains of Harlan, Kentucky. Weight is approximately 2 lbs. each. These are beautiful specimens with extremely nice detail. Perfect for the entry level collector. The price reflects the quality, amount of time spent searching for, and the time spent excavating these wonderful collectibles. I typically find these in streams with exposed bedrock and along natural cliffs. On average, I only find 1-3 per year! They are found in sandstone deposits and have qualties similar to (but not the same as) sandstone. I hope you enjoy seeing them, even if you decide not to buy! May God bless you and your loved ones!
