For sale is an extraordinary vintage Art Deco solid sterling silver 4 PC
coffee set in the iconic ORCHID pattern (introduced in 1929 -1930) by
International Silver.  Many say the ORCHID's sleek architectural design
reminds them of the Chrysler Building in New York City.  You now have
an opportunity to own a beautiful and affordable set for your home or
business.
The set consists of the following:
Coffee Pot - 9 inches tall, 8-1/4 inches from handle to spout.
Creamer - 5 inches tall.
Open Sugar Bowl - 3-3/8 inches tall.
Tray - 14-1/2 inches long by 10 inches wide.
The coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl are stamped on the underside
with the International name and maker's mark,
STERLING
, the pattern name
ORCHID
, and an identifying model number
C 69
.  The coffee pot is also stamped
with the capacity,
1 1/4 PTs.
(20 fluid ounces).  The creamer is stamped
Patent Pending
, whereas the coffee pot, sugar bowl and tray are stamped
Patented
.  The tray is marked as model number
W3 - 10
and
14 1/2 IN.
NOTE: the combined weight for the set is 1,570 grams or 50.55 troy ounces.
The set is in great used condition with it's original patina, only cleaned by
hand.  A  minor ding or two noted, some scratches on the surface of the tray,
all a result of past use.  There is a period monogram (GMP) on all four pieces.
