3 1/2 inch Lone Star Nail heads, unfinished cast iron.  Decorative rustic star design nail heads to use for shutters, doors, gates, garage doors, frames, furniture restoration and many more projects.  Volume priced. These rustic star nails are made of solid cast iron and are unfinished.  They are meant for you to finish to the color of your choice to match your project.  Spray paints work best.  We recommend you use a rust-inhibiting type of paint if you will use these outdoors.  There may be slight areas of visible rust on these which is a natural process for unfinished cast iron.  This does not affect usability or value.
We offer Star Nails in sizes from 1 3/4 inch to 3 1/2 inch.  Contact us if you need a size other than what is shown in this listing.  We also have Texas state design nailheads and hammered round head clavos.

Approximate size: Nail head is about 3 1/2 inches, stem is about 1 3/4 inch. Sizes are approximate as these are hand-forged and may vary slightly.
Slight variations will occur from piece to piece.  The stems are individually welded to the head. These are handcrafted. Each one is hand forged. Please do not expect all to be perfectly centered.  These are best used when wanting to restore or recreate a rustic project.   They may be rusty, bent a bit or off-center.  If you are looking for factory-produced nail heads, these would not be suitable.
When applying these to your project, we suggest drilling a pilot hole first.  Tap in with a rubber mallet.  If you are going to glue or weld these, you can snip the stems off.
They are sturdy, but mainly decorative for accents, shutters, doors, furniture (not furniture tacking), frames, doors, trunks, window frames, dressers, head boards, mirrors....
You will not receive the exact ones as shown in the photo, but those of equal or greater quality. Please see the photos for details of the clavos and what they will look like.
