    Description

    This is a rare very large green jasper replaced petrified wood limb cast specimen which has been polished on one end and which was collected from Oregon. There are only a handful of places in the world that produces green colored petrified wood. This fossilized wood is Oligocene in age. This green fossilized petrified wood specimen measures 3.90 inches long by 4.60 inches wide and weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces. Most of the fossilized wood collected in this area of Oregon is identified as Coniferous, Cypress, Sequoia and Quercus (oak).This amazing specimen would be an excellent addition to any rock and mineral collection.
