INTERIOR - Sepia-toned postcard of the United American Line's (a short-lived, joint American-German operation) RELIANCE of 1922 - the First Class Dining Saloon.
The RELIANCE was originally launched as JOHANN HEINRICH BURCHARD in 1915 for the Hapag but would be ceded to Holland in 1916 and renamed LIMBURGIA.  Sold off to the United American Line in 1922 and renamed RELIANCE.  She would be resold off to the Hapag in 1926 (retaining her name).   She would be lost to an uncontrollable fire while docked at Hamburg in 1938.
This lovely postcard is in very good condition.
