French Line's LIBERTE of 1946 (ex-North German Lloyd EUROPA of 1930)

Starboard side aerial view on a sepia-toned, scallop-edged postcard of the French Line's LIBERTE of 1946 under way.  She was originally built in 1930 as the North German Lloyd's EUROPA and was ceded to the French Line at the end of World War Two.  She would emerge in 1946 and after a huge refit would enter service as the LIBERTE.  Scrapped in 1962 at the arrival of the new flagship FRANCE.  Ship's vital stats printed on back.
NOTE:  We are also listing one lot of this ship as EUROPA.
This lovely postcard is in very good condition.
