Description
Fastlane Pool by Endless Pools purchased November 2008. The swimming motor works as good now as it ever did. The pool also has a filtration system that works, although it is highly recommended that you get all new pipes and connectors as these ones are leaking.*** Updates - added early morning on July 5th
- I couldn't add videos to this page, but I added them to
google photos at the link below
. These were taken about a week ago.

- I failed to mention that the filter motor is questionable. It works, but occasionally it struggles to turn on which tells me it won't last much longer. Then again, it has done this for the past 3 or 4 years. I don't know if it'll survive a move. It should be easily replaceable.
- I don't know if it's relevant, but for most of the years I've owned this I've drained it for the cooler months (usually November-May).
- Also, this won't be ready for pick-up or shipping for at least 10 days from purchase. It's still full of water and needs to be drained and disassembled. Draining will simply take time and disassembly is a lot of work and will also be influenced by my personal schedule.

The pool itself is 16 feet long and 8 feet wide. The swim motor is 6 HP, which is the most powerful one they offered. This motor can create a current that you would need to swim a 0:56 second 100 yard free to keep up with. You control it via waterproof remote control and it has a lot of incremental speeds that go down to a very gentle current.
The swim current generator is powered hydraulically through hoses that pump vegetable oil from the pump which is separate from the pool. One of the images shows the pump which is mounted next to the pool filter. I have never changed the oil, but I imagine it would need to be changed with disassembling the pool. The oil can be purchased from Endless Pools.
Mainly as backstory, but also possibly relevant - Endless Pools created the Fastlane sometime in the 2000's. The Fastlane was a pump that could be put in any pool to create a swim current. When taking the Fastlane to demo, they put it in an above ground pool and essentially created the Fastlane Pool. After a while they realized they could just sell that, and that's what this is. The reason I tell you this is that this pump could theoretically be placed in an existing pool. The hook at the back of the motor is specifically made to fit on this pool, but I imagine you could find a way to make it work for a backyard pool. Perhaps just getting a metal shop to make a custom piece would be the way to go.
The pool motors require 220V power. There is no plug, it needs to be wired directly.
Here's what you would get if you purchase:
Swim motor (which consists of the motor outside the pool, hoses, and swim current generator that's in the pool)
Remote Control
Pool
Ladder
Pool filtration (filter, filter motor, pipes and connectors)
An electric water heater that no longer works (it's attached to the rest, so it's included)
I am listing this as local pickup only, but it may be possible to ship. It's a lot of stuff, though, so it would certainly need specialty shipping. If you are interested, just email me and I'll work with you. I don't mind doing a certain amount of work on my end, but it needs to be arranged prior to purchase.
As far as the price, I think it's fair. I paid nearly ,000 for it brand new in 2008. Clearly it's degraded quite a bit since then, but it's still an Endless Pool that can generate a current that you can swim against. Please do not offer to purchase the pump only for less as I'm not interested in that. I don't care in the end if you take everything, but the price is for everything.
Just to finish, I love this pool. It's been a big part of my life for almost 13 years. My son learned to swim in it, and we've loved playing in it with and without the current going. I've used is somewhat for swimming over those years, but being a swim coach I have easy access to a pool and usually do my swimming there. It breaks my heart to be getting rid of it, but my son is past the age where he wants to play in the pool with me and we could really use the space in the back yard.
