Offered for sale is an immaculate Tiffany & Co. sterling silver coffee and tea service. From a bygone era, this set brings to mind images of the upper echelon taking tea in their parlour; and is exactly what you think of when it comes to serving tea and coffee in the 1920s. This service includes the creamer, hot water kettle with stand, teapot and coffeepot. Each piece of this matching set is highly detailed with fine filigree etching and "bone" detail on the handles. Very fine estate condition, there is only the slightest evidence of use. There are no monograms, bends, or dings; however there are some minor polishing lines present. Each piece is hallmarked with the Tiffany & Co logo and pattern number 20088B, order number 16519, and the mark of the directorship of John C. Moore II. This set dates to somewhere between 1921 and 1922. The creamer stands approximately 6¾ inches in height and holds 1¼ pints. The teapot measures approximately 5½ inches tall and holds 1¾ pints. The coffeepot stands approximately 7½ inches tall and holds 2¼ pints. The water kettle in its stand measures approximately 9¾ inches tall with the handle down or 11¾ inches in height with the handle up and holds 2½ pints. Incredibly sturdy, this set is composed of 118.73 troy ounces of solid sterling silver. Approaching 100 years old, very few of these sterling silver tea and coffee sets from Tiffany's golden era have survived to modern day, much less in such fine condition! All items are shipped via the United States Postal Service. We ship internationally exclusively through eBay's Global Shipping Program.
