Antique Sterling Silver Tea Service. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.Antique Victorian Sterling Silver tea service: Six piece service includes large coffee server and large tea pot made in London in 1892of 92.5% sterling by Charles Stuart Harris; Small tea pot made by Aldwinckle and Slater in London in 1881 of 92.5% sterling; and one sugar bowl and one cream pitcher made in London of 92.5% sterling in1857 by William Robert Smily. Each of these has the hallmarks stamped on the bottom: Maker's mark, Standard Mark, City Mark, Date Mark and Queen's head, signifying duty had been paid the the crown. Because of the age of the pieces, some hallmarks are very worn but still distinguishable. Silver tray for display/carrying is unmarked but equally beautiful and well-preserved. Although different artists made the pieces, each is alike in pattern, style and craftsmanship. My parents purchased this set in Europe when myfather was stationed there. I remember this sitting on displayon my mothers buffet and being used on special occasions.
