Antique Fine Woven Hand Painted Asian Basket w/ Lid & Handle Chinese Wedding

This is an antique finely woven basket that I was told is probably Chinese and made from bamboo, please view my photos and determine this for yourself.  It has its original hand-painted lid and bentwood handle.  The base is hand-carved(see photo #6).  Condition is good considering how old it is.  The basket shows wear and aging, the lid has some splits in the wood(see photos).  Not including the handle, basket measures 12" in diameter x 6" high, the handle is about 14" across x 9" high, total weight is 1.79 pounds on my scale. I have posted 12 photos, all are of the actual item I am selling here and are an important part of my description.
