A NOSTALGIC VINTAGE HAWAIIAN "REVERSE PAINT ON GLASS" BOX FROM THE EARLY 50'S

Description

This small visually appealing rectangular box dates from the late 40’s to early 50’s and brings back the memories of an earlier and more innocent time. It is cleverly painted in muted colors of lavender, pale yellow, black, and a white sail on the small vessel floating in the bay. It is peaceful and enjoyable. It is further ornamented by a row of two varieties of inlaid wooden squares around the upper rim and a larger rendition circling the base of the box. It measures 5 1/4” in length by 2 1/2” in height by 4” in depth and is ideal for keeping small pieces of jewelry or those loose coins we all seem to have. It is in original condition with no restoration or overpaint.
